LA LIGA: Cristiano Ronaldo Scores Hat-Trick In Real Madrid Victory Over Getafe

Seleção captain Cristiano Ronaldo scored three goals in a ten minute span as Real Madrid beat its city rivals Getafe 4-0 in La Liga action on Sunday.

The first goal came in the 62nd minute at the Estadio Santiago Bernabéu through a pass by German international Mesut Ozil which the Portuguese slid neatly past Getafe goalkeeper Moyá on a fast break.

Three minutes later, former Benfica player Angel Di Maria delivered a beautiful cross into the box, which Ronaldo headed straight into the Getafe goal with great velocity.

Ronaldo completed his hat trick in the 72nd minute by scoring a penalty to put Real Madrid up 4-0 on their way to victory. Sergio Ramos opened the scoring for Los Blancos in 53rd minute.

Ronaldo who is believed to be suffering from an ankle problem was subbed soon after for Karim Benzema. Defenders Ricardo Carvalho and Fábio Coentrão played the full 90 minutes for Real Madrid in the victory.
