A Bola are reporting that the deals for Romanian Striker Marius Niculae and Porto’s Kléber will not be completed. A source at Alvalde told A Bola that Sporting has decided not to sign Niculae who played in the Portuguese capital for Os Leões between 2001-2005.

Likewise, the reported loan deal for Kléber will not happen due to “financial reasons.” The Brazilian who has received little game action will reportedly seek a loan to another jurisdiction where the transfer window extends longer, such as Brazil, China, Romania or Russia.

It was believed that the two players would act as possible reinforcements in case Dutch striker Ricky van Wolfswinkel left. But with less than an hour left in the transfer window, no formal announcement on Wolfswinkel’s future has been made.
