Portuguese international Nani earned a spot in the starting Saturday against London club Queen’s Park Rangers and justified his place with an impressive display.

Nani was one of United’s most dangerous players in the first half and also tracked back on several occasions to win the ball for Sir Alex Ferguson’s club. The Red Devil’s broke through in the 23rd minute when Brazilian Rafael struck from 35 yards away to put United in front.

After Nani’s header was stopped in close by Julio César early in the second half, the Seleção winger fed Ryan Giggs in the box for United’s second goal. The Premier League leaders held on to win at Loftus Road 2-0.

Manchester United now lead the Premier League by 15 points over local rivals Manchester City who play Chelsea on Sunday. Former Portuguese international José Bosingwa made his return to the QPR line-up after a long absence but was largely ineffective.
